2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB Specs, Features & Price

This year Mercedes-Benz introduced a brand-new vehicle, a subcompact luxury crossover called the 2020 GLB. Like all of our vehicles, it’s packed full of luxurious content and delivers on performance as well. But perhaps more exciting is the price tag, as the GLB is an affordable vehicle that presents a luxury option in-line with the price of similar non-luxury vehicles! We figured we’d go over this topic as well as highlight some of the most exciting specs & features found in the vehicle.

MSRP & Price Comparison

There are currently two different GLB models to choose from. The GLB 250 SUV has an MSRP* that starts at $36,600 while the GLB 250 4MATIC SUV kicks off at $38,600. To give you a bit of a comparison, the Ford Explorer’s MSRP starts at $36,675. So, for around the same price, you could be driving with the luxury comforts that come with a Mercedes-Benz vehicle!

*Base MSRP excludes transportation and handling charges, destination charges, taxes, title, registration, preparation and documentary fees, tags, labor and installation charges, insurance, and optional equipment, products, packages and accessories. Actual vehicle price may vary. See dealer for details.

Premium Content

Although it is an entry-level, subcompact crossover, the GLB is still a Mercedes-Benz and it’s packed with the premium content that makes it feel like one. You’ll have all kinds of incredible features both inside and out with the GLB, including things like the digital cockpit – which includes standard dual 7” screens, or available 10.25” screens, multicolor ambience, multi-position seats – including a 40/20/40-split second row, 50/50-split third row, and EASY-ENTRY feature, and so much more.

Performance & Capacity

There are two areas of specifications that stand out above the rest when shopping for a vehicle in this segment: performance and capacity. When it comes to the former, the GLB is powered by a 2.0L inline-4 engine featuring twin-scroll turbo pumps that is capable of generating 221 horsepower alongside 258 pound-feet of torque, which is plenty of power to deliver quite the enjoyable experience on the road in such a small vehicle. As for the latter, the GLB delivers up to 62.0 cubic feet of space!
