Technology and Cabin Updates in the 2018 S-Class

There are a few notable changes to the cabin in these sedans, and it starts with the classic Mercedes-Benz wood trim. Performance Updates

This is where the adrenaline kicks in. There are now three new powertrains to choose from, and those include:

  • S 450/S 450 4MATIC: 3.0L V6 biturbo engine; 362 hp
  • S 560/S 560 Maybach 4MATIC:0L V8 biturbo; 463 horsepower
  • AMG S 63: Handcrafted AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo; 603 horsepower

In addition to these engine updates, there will also be new features such as  RACE START® (increases acceleration time), AMG DYNAMIC SELECT® (offers four modes for a more personalized drive), and MAGIC BODY CONTROL® suspension with the CURVE® tilting function (increases comfort when making sharp turns).
