2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class vs 2018 BMW 4 Series

After dominating the luxury segment for over two decades, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is ready to rock and roll yet again. Breaking barriers and innovating industry firsts is what the brand is known for, and few have matched the performance and eloquence of their vehicles. One competitor has been making ground recently, so we’re here to show you how the two differ so you can decide which is right for you. Take a look at the match-up between the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class vs 2018 BMW 4 Series.

One area to take notice of is the transmission. The 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission provides seamless gear changes to optimize fuel efficiency while reducing noise in the engine. Add in a steel-spring suspension for increased agility and you’ve got one of the smoothest rides available to the common man. Check out some of these other comparisons in the chart below.

ATTENTION ASSIST® in the 2018 E-Class

You may already know Mercedes-Benz vehicles to be some of the safest on the road. What you may not know is just how much they put into innovating the features in those vehicles. One of the industry-firsts created by Mercedes-Benz is ATTENTION ASSIST®. Standard in the E-Class and only available in Mercedes-Benz vehicles, this feature works by detecting driver drowsiness with a series of intelligent sensors. These sensors work by monitoring your own unique driving habits and behaviors and taking note when you stray from them. If ATTENTION ASSIST® detects that you’re too tired to drive, it will alert you both audibly and visually to pull over. It can even point you to the nearest rest stop. The 4 Series doesn’t have this feature, so this is just one of the many ways Mercedes-Benz is separating itself from the competition.
