Unlike many of the other vehicles on the Mercedes-Benz lineup, the 2021 A-Class is only available in one body style. Although it was once also available as a hatchback, this year only the subcompact sedan style is available near Savannah GA. Even still, it’s available in three different trim levels, each of which gets the blood pumping every time you slide behind the wheel.
With so many new vehicles and variants being introduced for the 2021 model year, it’s no surprise that not every model was able to be addressed. The A-Class is a carryover from the previous model year, but it’s every bit as exciting as it has always been.
As mentioned, the Mercedes-Benz A-Class is available in three different trim levels for the 2021 model year. They include the A 220 Sedan, the A 220 4MATIC® Sedan and the AMG® A 35 4MATIC® Sedan. The former to variants are powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that’s capable of generating a respectable 188 horsepower alongside 221 pound-feet of torque. While those kinds of numbers might not deliver impressive track days, it’s plenty of power to deliver an enjoyable experience on the road, each and every time.
However, upgrading to the AMG® trim level will net you quite the increase in power. Your powertrain will be replaced by an AMG®-enhanced 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder option that has an output of 302 hp and 295 lb-ft. of torque. All that power enables the A 35 to accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in just 4.6 seconds, 2.5 s faster than the other two choices.
If power is what you desire, the choice is clear. But there is plenty more than performance to get excited about in each trim level. Every A-Class Sedan is packed full of luxury amenities and technologies that should have you and your passengers enjoying your experiences on the road.
