While many Mercedes-Benz models have their own AMG® trim levels that are impressive and exciting high-performance alternatives to other trim levels, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG® GT is produced as an AMG®-exclusive model. With three different variants – coupe, 4-door coupe and roadster – it’s one of the most exciting vehicles available on a lineup packed full of exciting vehicles. Perhaps the best-performing model on the lineup, we’re stoked to be able to offer the 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG® GT here in the Hilton Head Island area near Savannah GA, and we cannot wait to see you in the driver’s seat.
We’ll start by taking a look at the regular AMG® GT Coupe, which is itself available in two different models. Both are powered by a handcrafted 4.0L AMG® V8 biturbo engine, but the GT Coupe generates 523 horsepower and 494 pound-feet of torque, while the GT C Coupe improves performance to 550 hp and 502 lb-ft. respectively. That’s not a huge difference in power, but it does separate the two vehicles by a tenth of a second in acceleration. The GT Coupe can go from 0-60 miles per hour in 3.7 seconds, while the GT C Coupe gets there in 3.6 s.
The AMG® GT Roadster is separated into the same two trim levels with the same powertrains and technical specifications as its coupe counterpart. The main difference between the coupe and roadster models is just that, the GT Roadster and GT C Roadster are convertibles featuring a three-layer fabric roof with a metal structure comprised of aluminum, magnesium and steel.
Alternatively, the AMG® GT 4-door Coupe is available in as many different models as it has doors. This 4-door alternative starts off with its base trim level being the GT 43 4-door Coupe, powered by a 3.0L inline-6 turbocharged engine that generates 362 hp alongside 369 lb-ft. of torque. It can accelerate from 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. The next step up is the GT 53 4-door Coupe, which features the same engine but enhanced by AMG® to deliver 429 hp, 384 lb-ft. and acceleration in 4.4 s.
Moving up again, we have the GT 63 4-door Coupe which replaces the powertrain with the handcrafted AMG® 4.0L V8 biturbo. Its technical specifications are 577 hp, 590 lb-ft. and 3.3 s. Finally, the top-of-the-line trim level is the GT 63 S 4-door Coupe, which enhances performance even further to a very impressive 630 hp, 664 lb-ft. and 3.1 s acceleration.
