Mercedes-Benz decided to try something slightly different this year, separating the different S-Class models into three different trim lines to help streamline the packaging. This year, the S-Class will be available in the Luxury Line, AMG® Line and Executive Line, as well as in two different trim levels: the S 500 4MATIC® Sedan and S 580 4MATIC® Sedan. The Luxury and AMG® Line trims are available on both models, while the Executive Line will be exclusive to the benchmark S 580 Sedan.
To give you just a few examples, the Luxury Line features a Burmester® High-End 4D Sound System, 20” 10-spoke wheels, a 3D Technology Package, a Warmth & Comfort Package, a heated steering wheel and exclusive Nappa leather upholstery. The AMG® Line includes all of those plus a Night Package and 4.5-Degree Rear-Axle Steering, and the wheels are updated to 20” and 21” AMG® Multispoke Wheels. Of course, AMG® models also include additional AMG® features like body styling and floor mats.
The Executive Line takes everything from the previous lines, save the AMG®-exclusive features and design cues, and adds even more to the mix. This includes things like Active Multicontour Rear Seats, 4-Zone Climate Control, electric adjustable rear seats, Rear ENERGIZING Comfort Package, Rear Wireless Charging, and an MBUX Rear Tablet and 2 Wireless Headsets. Additionally, the Rear-Axle Steering is updated to 10 degrees.
