The 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class vehicle not only brings comfort and convenience to its passengers, but also a sense of reliability. This vehicle offers an array of restraint and driver assistance systems that are designed to keep occupants safe and secure. Today we are going to go over these safety features available on the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.

Restraints are one way to ensure the driver and passengers are safe in the event of a crash. The 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class has pre-safe rear seatbelts. When a passenger sits down on a rear seat, the buckles will light up and automatically rise so passengers are more inclined to buckle up. These same seatbelts have a three-point design. The Emergency Tensioning Device and active buckle will prevent the belt from slacking in the event of a crash.

As well, the seatbelts are designed with Cushionbag®. This innovation is in the seat cushion of the rear seats. When an impact occurs, the airbag quickly raises the front part of the cushion and keeps the passenger from sliding under the seatbelt. There are a total of nine airbags in the vehicle that provide eleven-way occupant protection.

Driver Assistance Features on the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class
Driver assistance features are designed to increase reliability and safety when driving. The 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class has an array of these assistance features available. There is a radar on the vehicle that can detect if a collision is possible with other cars, objects, and pedestrians. If the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class detects a potential collision it will warn the driver with an alert. If no action is taken, then the vehicle can automatically apply the brakes to avoid the collision.
